Breathe Fire

The company is trying to show the beer in an aggressive way and by doing that it shows the bottle of beer floating around, and pouring the beer into the cups in a fashionable way. The other part of the commercial is showing a male and a female on a date and the commercial is trying to show the affect of drinking the beer. The affect of drinking the beer is that you can breathe out fire.

The commercial is trying to persuade people to buy the product and its trying to say that the beer is so good that you can breathe our flames. It wants to advertise and make comedy out of the commercial because common sense is that you wont be able to breathe fire out of your mouth no matter what you drink.

The reinforcement of the commercial is that nothing happens to the guy when he burned up everything, and his date was all burned up, and so was her cat. The persuasive techniques were that he didn't really care about what happen to his date or cat. He still had the bottle of beer in his hand after he just burned everything to ashes.

Clearasil

Do you have confidence? Some say they do, some say they don't. This is a message out to all the teenagers and young adults saying that if you use clearasil you will gain confidence. During the commercial, the teenager is showing a facial reaction that he's really interested in his friends mom. They want the audience to think that clearing up your acne will increase your confidence. Signs in the commercial is that the boy scoops up a little bit of the stuff that the mom is stirring and he licks it, and it's showing emotional appeal. The mom had a weird reaction to his actions. The audience is mostly looking at the boy with very powerful confidence or just silliness, until at the end of the commercial it tells everyone that you may gain confidence. When I look at this commercial as an audience it makes me want to use that item.

I see this as a stupid commercial, it doesn't make much sense, why did they put a mom as the example they use for the boy to get at. I think to put out a stronger message should of been a pretty girl, probably a model for the boy to get at. The mom part made me confused about this commercial, if it was to gain confidence they why wouldn't they put a good looking girl thats his age.

The persuasive techniques is that he's getting at a woman, an older woman, using emotional appeal, hes basically flirting with his friends mom, and thats the technique. This commercial doesn't really work, it doesn't have a big impact on teens to actually buy the item and use it because its a teen and a mother. Its not a great way to inform people about the product.
